At the beginning of the year Israel attacked the Gaza Strip  after Palestinian Hamas continuously fired rockets into Israel. The incursion into Gaza by the Israeli Defense Force  was very severe and the use of phosphorus bombs and the thousands of civilian casualties was looked upon as excessive by many leaders and people around the world. Now a U.N. Human Rights Council has endorsed a plan to investigate illegal abuses by both sides.

The United States may try to stall or counter any war crimes investigation towards Israel but I don’t support that policy.I suspect there are many others here in the United States that see our support of Israel too biased and lopsided and doesn’t represent fair justice for the region. Israel even today continues to try to take more strips of land from Palestinians as they continue to build new settlements on land that isn’t theirs.
