Senate Democrats voted up and down on a stack of amendments yesterday as they worked through getting a final healthcare bill out of committee. Republicans in an attempt to stymie the healthcare reform legislation tried to delay anymore work on the bill by proposing to put it off for two weeks. Senate Democrats voted down that idea in order to continue to get the healthcare bill moving through Congress.
Republicans are deep in the pockets of the health insurance companies and Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor, Ohio Rep. Boehner, and Iowa Senator Grassley are not putting the American people first in order to protect an industry that has become America’s healthcare puppet masters. Basically if you work for a company, large organization, or the government health insurance coverage is affordable but if you are self employed, work for a small business, or are unemployed your S.O.L.
