Obama Visits Arizona Memorial / Russia Still Entrenched…

Obama took the family to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Perhaps a good choice considering all of the events in Georgia in recent days. Tomorrow Obama will participate in a Q/A with Rick Warren’s Saddle Back Church for a candidate forum, set to begin at 8 pm ET.

Turkish journalists under attack by Russian soldiers

Russia continues to occupy parts of Georgia and has firm control of traffic moving east to west from the capitol to the Black Sea. President Bush has sent Secretary of State Condi Rice and is working to get Russian military forces out of Georgia. Meanwhile Bush has ordered Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to commence a vigorous airlift operation to help the Georgian people…
