Obama spoke yesterday to 700 members of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials and talked about reaching out to the Hispanic community and solving the immigration issue that is both comprehensive and fair for both Mexico and The United States…

Obama: \”We must assert our values and reconcile our principles as a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws. That is a priority I will pursue from my very first day.\”

Obama: \”It will be one of my priorities on my first day because this is an issue that we have demagogued. There\’s been a lot of politics around it, but we haven\’t been serious about solving the problem. And I want to solve the problem.\”

Watch part of Barack’s speech here…

McBush addressed the same members earlier in the day and to sum it up in two words he promised \”Compassionate Conservatism\” some of the same ole, same ole in regards to the immigration issue between Mexico and the U.S. McBush walked away from a comprehensive immigration bill which he sponsored last year so must likely nothing will get done.
