Elections Matter…

Today Barack Obama spoke to a group of students in Taylor, Mich. at Wayne County Community College. He explained how vitally important it is to give every person in America the chance to get at least a 2 year college degree in order to fill the demand for skilled workers for today and into the future. Obama proposes giving a $4000 tax credit to pay college tuition for just 100 hours of community service helping the elderly or feeding the hungry, not a bad deal. This issue does hit home for me because I know all to well how hard it is to pay college tuition and at the same time managing bills and other expenses. I went back to college 3 years ago and I\’m still struggling to pay the tuition and right now I\’m taking one course at a time and sometimes I have to skip a semester because I can\’t afford it. So, I\’m really hoping in 2009 there will be a revamp of financial assistance options. No one should be denied to get a college degree if they are committed to work and study for it. \”Remember Elections Do Matter 2008\”
