Midwest Floods…Desperate Situation For Thousands, Obama Gets Involved.

Obama fills sandbags in Illinois town threatened by floods

Thousands of people in Iowa have been struck real hard by rising river water and have lost hundreds of homes and businesses and remincent of the flooding in and around New Orleans three years ago. Now towns and cities downstream of Iowa are preparing for the worst as river banks aren\’t expected to crest until sometime Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Thousands of volunteers are filling sandbags and shoreing up levees to protect there homes downstream in Illinois and Missouri. Barack Obama stopped in Quincy, Ill to help fill sandbags and spotlight the difficulties the citizens face. Obama pledged to push the federal and state governments to provide aid to the stricken areas.
