Barack Obama kicked off his two week economy tour \”Change That Works For You\” at the North Carolina fairgrounds in Raleigh, N.C. Obama emphasized the importance of giving middle class tax cuts to working people $1000 and ending Bush\’s tax cuts for the wealthy. Obama pointed out,\”George Bush’s policies have taken us from a projected $5.6 trillion dollar surplus at the end of the Clinton Administration to massive deficits and nearly four trillion dollars in new debt today. We were promised a fiscal conservative. Instead, we got the most fiscally irresponsible administration in history. And now John McCain wants to give us another. Well we’ve been there once, and we’re not going back. It’s time to move this country forward\”. Obama also emphasized our dependence on foreign oil and investing in new renewable fuels and creating green jobs that support alternative energy and in the process creating 5 million jobs that can\’t be outsourced to another country.

With gas prices rising to $6.00 a gallon by July and everything else on the rise with it. How can anyone trust Bush and McCain who defend big oil profits and excessive federal deficits and the War in Iraq…WE NEED CHANGE!
