HERE ARE SOME DETAILS ON TOMORROW\’S MEETING FROM THE RULES AND BYLAW COMMITTEE: has a post called The Democratic Party | DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee to Meet Saturday that\’s worth checking out…

The Democratic National Committee\’s Rules & Bylaws Committee will meet on Saturday May 31, 2008 in Washington, DC. The Rules and Bylaws Committee will consider the two challenges that have been filed pursuant to Rule 20.B of the 2008 Delegate Selection Rules and Regulation 3 of the Regulations of the Rules and Bylaws Committee concerning the seating of delegations from Florida and Michigan.

Hillary Clinton Agreed Not To Seat MI & FL

The playing field was setup in 2007 and the rules were in place and agreed by the Democratic candidates. Hillary Clinton signed a pledge not to campaign in Florida and Michigan and agreed in 2007 that the delegates would not count. Barack Obama adhered to the pledge and did not actively campaign in both states nor was his in state organizations actively canvassing or doing much grassroots activities because of the penalties placed by the DNC. Now Hillary Clinton is trying to change the rules because she is trailing and she wants all the delegates counted even though in Michigan Obama wasn\’t even on the ballot. I don\’t care how you rationalize the primaries they\’re skewed because it is totally unfair to Barack Obama. If the shoe was on the other foot the Clinton\’s and her supporters would have squashed this motion to seat the delegates as is.
