Don\’t Call On Hillary First At The Ohio Debate…

***Obama comes out swinging in Columbus, OH, Returns Fire On John McCain…***

“John McCain may like to say he wants to follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell, but so far all he’s done is follow George Bush into a misguided war in Iraq that has cost us thousands of lives and billions of dollars and that I intend to bring to an end…. That’s the news, John McCain.”

Last night\’s debate started off awkward to me. Hillary Clinton complained that she is being picked on by the media and moderators because they ask her questions first more times than Barack does. Now I don\’t get it when you\’re trying to score points at a debate against your competition it just doesn\’t make much since to go after the media and whine that you\’re being treated unfairly because you\’re asked questions. Hillary was booed soon after whining and for good reason.

Barack Obama clearly illustrated the image of Hillary\’s support and vote for the Iraq Invasion by using an analogy of \”Hillary driving the bus into a ditch\”. That is a correct portrayal when you realize the reasons for the War In Iraq were incorrect and the Invasion rushed by neo-cons to open a new front on terror was poorly conceived and planned for a post Saddam Hussein who for better or worse kept the lid on the powder keg in Iraq. This is a clear distinction in both Obama and Clinton on the War In Iraq and an important one to be considered when choosing the next President.

All in all last night\’s debate was a great one for Obama he looked sharp last night and on point. He didn\’t make any mistakes or lose his focus on any of the questions and was clearly responsive and resolute anytime Hillary tried to make points.

Also yesterday John McCain was being introduced by Ohio conservative radio jock Bill Cunningham. During that intro he obsessively and repeatedly brought up Obama\’s middle name Hussein. It\’s clear Mr. Cunningham was mocking Obama and trying to demean his name by portraying him as less American. Mr. Cunningham apparently wants Americans to believe that if your name is not traditional Anglo you\’re less an American or less inclined to take on Middle East Terror. Now I have heard Bill Cunningham on the radio over the last few months and he rants on his show about Obama\’s middle name so McCain should have known that this nut job was going to put a brick in his mouth. Another interesting tidbit about Bill Cunningham is his only accomplishment and the one thing he brags about on his show was a personalized tour of \”Gitmo\” Guantanamo Bay. That\’s it \”Hussein\” or \”Gitmo\” thats what you will listen to for four hours on Bill Cunningham\’s show. What a nut job !
