Heat wave stresses Mid-Atlantic power grid again…

It’s 101 but feels like 110. Today  up and down the east coast of the United States temperautures hit on or above a 100 degrees. It’s common being from South Carolina feeling the heat, but places North like Maine are even getting in on the heat wave which will put strains on electric utility grids and power companies up and down the east coast.

Is this the hottest day of the year?…

Rare Snow Storm In Deep South

It’s not very often here in South Carolina we see snow on the ground and after last night’s snow fall we received 6 inches in this area. Took a few pictures this morning of the snow around the house. Here are a few…enjoy.

Snow Comes To The Deep South,Friday Feb. 12th

Snow on the way; winter storm warning this afternoon…

Well it’s not 4 or 5 feet of snow that the North has been digging out of it’s 2-6 inches, but here in the South it might as well be feet. It hardly ever snows here in South Carolina so the expected snow storm that’s heading our way has folks running to the store to pick up the essentials and some goodies before it arrives. It hasn’t snowed in this area with any accumulation in nearly 10 years so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

When it happens i’ll post some pictures tomorrow of the aftermath…
