Trouble for Nikki Haley in South Carolina?
All over the country there are a multitude of last moment political debates going on before Tuesday 11/2/2010 election. There are some hotly contested gubernatorial races going on around the country. One of them between Palin’s grizzly mom Nikki Haley against Democrat Vincent Sheheen. What was a wash over a month ago as Haley had a double-digit lead over Sheheen with the help of the Tea Party Express and Sarah Palin, but in recent month allegations of tax disclosures and business practices by Nikki Haley have had a many republicans taking a harder look at Sheheen. It’s the final week before the election and the last debates so anyone gets the jump on the other live in front of many undecided voters could make their mind up this week on who will be South Carolina’s next governor.

Nikki Haley Releases Her House Emails…
Well after 3 months of requests from media and the public, Nikki Haley the republican candidate for South Carolina governor finally released thousands of government emails. Her opponent democrat Vincent sheheen released all of his records months ago. The release though was quite controlled as the emails which were transferred to binder notebooks could only be seen in her office no copies could not be made nor any released to the public.
The release though still begs questions why wait so long to release them and have any emails that could be damaging to the campaign been deleted. Nikki Haley has been advocating for transparency in government yet this recent release of emails in such a controlled way and the time it took to produce them questions her sincerity in truly being transparent.

Well since Sarah Palin the defacto tea-party leader has come and campaigned for Nikki Haley a lot of outside money has poured into her political campaign coffer.

Nikki ‘Sanford’ Haley. So the half term ex-governor of Alaska who quit her job and her state for money. Is now defacto leader of the tea-party and running the South Carolina republican party. The more things change around here the more it stays the same.
Sure, If Nikki Haley wins the governor’s race in November she will make South Carolina history to be the first Indian-American and woman to be the governor of our state, but her politics and policies will be more of the same governance under current Guv. Mark Sanford froth with bickering political fights with the legislators over trivial issues that will lead the state further down into economic stagnation and unemployment. The State government is already cut to the bone and taxes are at an all time low yet we still have unemployment hovering around 10% and no real leadership from a lame duck governor who fiddles as Rome burns.
