Majority Vote! 51

Democratic Whip (SC) Rep.Jim Clyburn tonight  was confident that Healthcare Reform can be passed by using reconciliation or also called a majority vote in the Senate. Rep. Clyburn indicated the Senate bill can get passed through the House but would need to be cleansed of the special deals such as the ones made with Louisiana and Nebraska. No public option but a stong comprehensive healthcare reform bill that opens up large exchanges that will create large pools of insured Americans thus lowering the cost to buy insurance.

Democrats I believe have to move on this because doing nothing will not only hurt healthcare cost and access for millions of Americans their base will not be energized the first Tuesday in November. Also, independents will see this as a weakness by democrats who were overwhelmingly voted in 2008 to make real changes.

Bring An Up Or Down Vote
