President Obama Set To Lay Out Afghanistan Strategy At West Point

Barack Obama issues new Afghanistan military orders…

Tuesday evening most of America will be tuning in on all the networks to hear and see President Obama lay out his strategy in moving forward in the Afghanistan War. Many reports circulating that President Obama will surge with 30,000 more U.S. Soldiers that will put American forces over 100,000 in Afghanistan. For the most part it appears getting the populated cities and towns in and around Taliban strongholds back into control of the coalition and allow the Karzai government to get its foot hold outside of Kabul and in the southern provinces of Afghanistan. We need support from our allies on this critical endeavor to rid Muslim extremists from having a nation state base to carry out terrorist attacks on civilians around the world so as President Obama is speaking tomorrow the call is going out to our allies to also send troops to help pacify Afghanistan. More after tomorrow’s speech at the Army West Point Academy which I believe should be carried by all the networks so every American can see and hear what the President has decided to do in the eight year running war in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan: December 2001 Osama Bin Laden In Our Grasp

Senate Report Explores 2001 Escape by bin Laden From Afghan Mountains…

A new Senate report being released Monday again underscores the critical mistake made by Gen Tommy Franks and Sec. of Defense Donald Rumsfeld by not putting in the military assets to kill Osama Bin Laden at Tora Bora. We all watched afar as reports came in that a last stand battle was brewing in the mountains of Tora Bora at the Afghanistan-Pakistan border 2 months after the U.S. SENT in Special Ops to take down the Taliban regime. Osama Bin Laden with 1000-1500 hardcore jihadists retreated to the caves and tunnels of Tora Bora. With only limited time Osama Bin Laden and his posse is left to battle paid Afghan allies and a handful of spec ops and CIA spooks who then requested additional U.S. Troops  and pursue the terrorist leader to the top of the mountain and attempt to encircle and prevent escape into Pakistan. That request was denied and Osama Bin Laden escaped across the Pakistan border and has been thriving in the no mans  tribal area of Pashtun and along points of the mountain region between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Now 8 years later President Obama is faced with a growing Taliban- Al Qaeda resurgence because leaders in the Bush adminstration chose not to put in the adequate amount of military force that could have cut the head off the beast ‘Osama Bin Laden’. Instead President Bush and his administration chose to commit massive amount of U.S. military assets into an invasion of Iraq and billions and billions of dollars into going after Saddam Hussein a thug not a global terrorist.

Tuesday President Obama will lay out his strategy moving forward in Afghanistan at West Point. With multiple-multiple deployments by our military servicemen and women and waning American support the clock is really ticking but what is the alternative to withdrawal and leave Afghanistan like the U.S.S.R did 20 years ago and precipitated the rise of Al Qaeda and the eventual worst civilian attack on American soil.

Americans headed to department stores in droves in the dead of night on Friday to kick off the holiday shopping season, though many said they had pared back how much they would spend on family members and on themselves. Couple Are Able To Infiltrate The White House State Dinner

White House Party Crashers Shock Outsiders…

This is not really the type of story I normally blog about but after hearing about Tareq and Michaele Salahi a Virgina couple who masqueraded as official guests to the State Dinner for the Prime Minister Of India and were able to get past Secret Service security protocols begs the question about safety and security at the White House. Tareq and Michaele Salahi went through the security checks but some how were able to pass through without the proper credentials to such an exclusive event in which the President , Vice President and other dignitaries where present and hosting the State Dinner.

I think the Secret Service needs to thoroughly investigate what happened and enforce stricter adherence to security measures so that some nut out there doesn’t suddenly think he/she can do something similar again.
